There's nothing special about me but I can describe my teenage life in Taylor Swift song lyrics "We're happy, free, confused and lonely at the same time" for me, its being a teen. I have never thought about what the hardest, or best part of being a teen has been, I usually just live with it because it is my life and it is everyday. It's so confusing, sitting here, thinking about it. I would say it's hard because you are expected to act like an adult, all emotions are everywhere and everything you do as a teen defines you as an adult. It could be the best because your not treated like a baby no more, people trust you to make the right decision and you get more freedom.

But, those are the days that we define as the best days of a teenager. When it comes down to it, is it better to be treated like a baby where you feel stupid and immature, or is it better to be treated like an adult, where you are trusted and not every move is being watched? I would have to say it is nice to be treated like an adult sometimes, most of the time actually. Because I am treated as an adult, I am trusted, I have my freedoms. My every move is not being watched, or looked over, I am not being treated like I can not do something. I would have to say on the best days of being a teenager is when I can do what I need to calm down when I am feeling sad. It makes me feel better to know that my “elders” trust me to take off when I need to. It makes me feel better know know that I can wake up everyday and my mommy that I needed when I was sad, will be there but trusts me to pick out my outfit that I want to wear for that day. Also, anybody will notice your gone. That being said those people who do notice your gone, are the ones who care and want to help you. Your mom and dad are there for a home for you to fall in. Your best friend is there because they DO understand you because they are a teenager too. Your dog will sit there and listen to you 24/7, I know when I'm feeling down my dog knows because shell sit in my room with me all day.

The saying is true "being a teen is the most unforgettable and happy era that you'll experience in your life". It's sometimes risky but its all worth it, especially if you are surrounded by a people who care for you. In my situation, those people are the best. They stay, in my lowest and highest. They never leave me, my mother, father, bestfriends, cousins, relatives and especially my loving boyfriend, they are so special to me. They shape my teenage life to the fullest.
